In the country, there was a unique trend in the Lok Sabha elections, and particularly in Andhra Pradesh, a different trend was emerging. The atmosphere there was like a T20 match. The game in Andhra Pradesh was Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and BJP versus Jagan Mohan Reddy. Pawan Kalyan is not just a temporary or election-time pawn for BJP. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Naidu was brought back into the fold through Pawan's mediation, and both the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections were contested. Aggressive body language, demeanor, and impactful actions can effectively convey the BJP's and thereby Hindutva's thoughts to the people of the South. Previously, the BJP had tried to bring Rajinikanth into the fold for this purpose, but it didn't work out.
To deliver a strong message, the leader must be equally impactful and relevant. It's not enough to just be a superstar or popular. Even if the group that considers Pawan a star and the group that considers him a leader are one and the same, people have started viewing Pawan as a serious and long-term politician. With ample money, fame, and the support of the central government, Pawan can be seen as a key charioteer of the BJP's southern conquest campaign. In Kerala and Tamil Nadu too, the vote share of BJP and like-minded parties has increased, indicating that the inner strength is starting to surface. The BJP needs influential and mass-appeal people who can draw out this strength, and Pawan is one of them.
Since Pawan might not be interested in positions other than the Chief Minister's post, Naidu is capable of managing the local government and administration. Pawan can leverage this situation to expand his party and his own image. The North is on the path of a significant ideological shift. If there are no major riots, social strife, or events that lead to religious polarization in the North, the people there may adopt a highly pragmatic and harmonious political path, giving room for Congress and consequently some local parties to grow.
Conversely, a large number of Hindus, tribal-dalit Hindus in the South may become aware of their religious sentiments, cultural history, and existence, thereby creating a significant opportunity for the BJP and central-right leaders with effective oratory, public support, and grassroots connection in the South. If Pawan Kalyan limits his political reach to just the Chief Minister's position and Andhra, it could be an unrealized advantage for BJP and leaders, parties that practice Hindutva politics in the South.
